This smart lock is great because it can be used with your existing handle trim and the installation is very easy!
1. Download the app.
2. Replace the Euro profile cylinder lock on your existing multipoint lock and mount a Tedee Pro smart lock on your door in minutes .
3. Calibrate the Tedee Pro to your Euro version Single or Multipoint door lock and your done!

The Tedee Pro consists of multiple components that are all sold separately.  You will need the following components such as the Tedee Pro smart lock along with a Tedee compatible cylinder. Then there are also some optional accessories such as the smart bridge and exterior keypad. You can enjoy all remote features with purchasing a Tedee smart bridge that connects your lock to Wi-Fi.

**Note: This lock works best with key-operated or automatic multipoint locks or single point locks. If you have a manual lock version which requires lifting the handle to lock the door, the auto-locking feature will not be available in this setup.

Lets dive into the details of the different smart lock components:

Tedee Smart Lock Pro: Available in Black, Silver/White and Gold/White. 
Streamline your daily routine with smooth departures and welcoming returns. This is the interior knob that is battery operated with Bluetooth communication. Tedee PRO uses an integrated lithium-ion battery with an average battery life of 6-10 months on a single overnight charge. Knob is rechargeable with a magnetic connection and Micro USB charging cable. Box includes a dedicated cable with a magnetic plug. Tedee PRO incorporates a highly optimized gear mechanism, enabling discreet and smooth movement.
Dimensions of Knob: 45mm x 55mm.

Tedee Compatible Cylinder:
Connect to the smart lock on the inside and use a key from the outside. This is a modular cylinder which lets you adjust the length to fit every Euro-profile lock.

This cylinder consists of a smart thumbturn which allows you to turn Tedee manually to lock and unlock the door from the inside. Also features a key backup so you can still unlock the door with a standard key.

Tedee Pro Smart Bridge:
So you decided to get a smart lock, but then there’s one more decision to make! We should put it out of the way: a smart bridge is not necessary. It is extra money that maybe you don’t have to spend. A smart lock is a smart lock anyway: it opens with a click, auto-locks and unlocks, and you can share its access through the app. But a smart bridge is a small device that enables so much more – especially if you’re interested in remote features and smart home integrations.
As the name suggests, a smart bridge is a device that sets a connection between your smart lock and the internet. It connects to a smart lock via Bluetooth and your local network via Wi-Fi. You plug it into a power socket up to 2m away from the door and add it to your mobile app. 

What Does the Smart Bridge Do?
The bridge unlocks all the features of the Tedee Pro! A steady internet connection allows you to access your lock wherever you are. You can open your door remotely, even from the other side of the world, like when you’re on vacation, and somebody’s watering your plants. You can always check if you locked the door and never worry about that again! Smart bridge gives you a real-time view of your lock’s work. The unlock history is always up-to-date, and you can enable push alerts about every event – like when your child’s back from school. 

Internet connection is necessary for integrating your lock with cloud-based smart home systems, like Apple HomeKit, Google Home, and Amazon Alexa. These enable unlocking the door with Siri, Google Assistant, and Alexa.

Smart locks undergo systematic firmware improvements. Permanent internet connections give you automatic updates. Without a bridge, you’d need to kickstart an update manually, being close to the door. It is important, as current software gives you the highest available levels of reliability and security.
In extreme cases, if your front door is a heavy, steel construction that may obstruct Bluetooth to pass through, a bridge lets you bypass it through a cloud.

Four things you need to know about a Tedee smart bridge:
1) It needs to be plugged into a power socket up to 2m away from your smart lock.
2) It’s powered with a direct socket plug (included in the box) or a standard micro USB cable (not included).
3) It requires a permanent Wi-Fi connection to the internet.
4) You can connect several smart locks to one bridge, as long as they’re in Bluetooth range. It’s useful in corridors etc.
