We renovated our townhomei -- in 2005 installing new tilt-style windows and loved them. Unfortunately, a renter didn't know how to operate them and mangled the mechanism. We had difficulty tracking down parts because the company no longer existed (we eventually discovered that it had been bought out by another window company). None of our local hardware company were any help! An internet search finally led us to windowanddoorparts.us and they could not have been more helpful. Not only did they precisely help the homeowner (with no knowledge of windows) accurately track down the parts, they were also available to assist the installer who then replaced the parts because adjustments had to be made to the track to remove the old balance mechanisms.
